Another Thank You!

If you remember our last issue, we had a photo feature entitled Pennies for the Paper-meaning us, the FORUM, and thanking those wonderful kids at Veterans School, 123rd and Greenwood, for taking up a collection for us. They were a pleasure to meet and we now wish to acknowledge that the coins they collected totaled close to $400.00 -- $379.83 to be exact. AGAIN, thank you.

Now we weren't able to even carry the coins, they were so heavy; nonetheless, off we journeyed to Great Lakes Bank to deposit them. They were so-o-o-o gracious. Our thanks to Xavier who helped carry and count coins and to everyone at the bank who helped and expressed their pride in our kids.

And, of course, there's RaeAnn Zylman, Veteran's PE Instructor who had the idea in the first place.

Kinda' renews your faith in our community, doesn't it?
